Sophie L. Jacobson was born in former East-Germany where she lived until her family migrated to West-Berlin in 1989 -- exactly six days before the fall of the Berlin Wall.

After working in a Berlin actors’ agency for about 4 years, Sophie moved to the U.S. where she received her Bachelor of Arts. During this time she began assisting photographers on commercial photo shoots and continued to do so in Berlin, Germany. While assisting professional photographers, Sophie has exhibited her work in both the U.S. and Germany and has worked on international campaigns in multiple countries including Lebanon, Switzerland, Germany, and the United States.

After completing her Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design in October 2007, Sophie Jacobson moved with her husband and son to Los Angeles, CA where she continues to work in the medium both commercially and artistically.
