Sophie L. Jacobson was born in former East-Germany where she lived until her family migrated to West-Berlin in 1989 – exactly six days before the fall of the Berlin Wall. After working for a number of years in the entertainment industry, Sophie moved to the U.S. in 2001 where she received her Bachelor of Arts. Sophie later returned to Berlin to work in the field of photography both commercially and artistically. Once she returned to the U.S., Sophie completed her Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design in 2007 and now lives with her husband and two sons in Venice, CA. Sophie Jacobson's work has been published and exhibited internationally in cities like Berlin, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
